HCCC City-Wide Collaborative Community Program

ARTreach has been invited by Houston Center for Contemporary Craft to engage those we serve in our communities in a city-wide collaborative art program by fiber artist Ann Morton! The title of the program is, "What Happened Today?" It focuses on the news in our world, both internal and external, and how we process it.

We began with a workshop at HCCC, and already, ARTreach Program Director Melba Lee has taken the project to Mamie George Community Center to engage participants in making modules that will later be sewn together into a larger work of art. Where will we take the project next? Stay tuned!
