Danny Russo

Danny Russo is a native of Houston, Texas where he makes his career as a visual artist. He has been an ARTreach Lead Teaching Artist since 2004. Educated in Houston schools, he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art from the University of Houston. Danny expresses his art in drawing, painting, and crafts. Danny's programs are educational and enriching for both children and adults. Danny enjoys bringing others into the experience of art creation and has conducted art workshops in many schools, libraries, and institutions throughout Texas. In addition to working in drawing and painting mediums, Danny is experienced in screen printing, sculpture, serigraphy, paper-mâché', and theatrical stage design and building. Being environmentally conscious, he works with materials that are safe for the user and the environment. Other creative abilities are writing, music, photography, and videography. Through creative processes, Danny focuses on learning, sharing, and having fun in a safe and enjoyable way.
